If you need polished time tracking with desktop apps and a browser extension, Toggl Track is hard to beat. If you track time to find out which work pays, you also need income and expenses per project — that's where Hustlay fits, with a timer, weekly timesheet and profit per hour.

Best for
Who should pick Toggl, and who should pick Hustlay
Pick Toggl if…
You or your team mainly need excellent time tracking — desktop apps, browser extension, reports and timesheets.
Pick Hustlay if…
You work solo and want hours turned into profit per hour, next to each project's income and costs.
Fair is fair
What Hustlay doesn't do
- No automatic bank feeds — you add transactions, scan receipts or forward receipt emails.
- Not double-entry accounting, payroll or tax-filing software. Exports go to your accountant or tax tool.
- No one-click importer from most other tools yet; moving over means starting fresh or adding history manually.
How we compared: Toggl's features and prices come from its public product and pricing pages, checked in October 2026. Hustlay's side reflects the current product. We did not run paid trials of Toggl; if something here is out of date, tell us via the contact page and we'll fix it.
TL;DR
Our honest take
Pick Toggl Track if time tracking itself is the job. Pick Hustlay if you track time to find out which clients and projects are worth it — the hours sit next to the money.
